School Houses

Every student is assigned to one of our four houses when they start at Isebrook School and will remain in the same house throughout their time here.

The aims of the school houses are to increase:

  • A sense of community - Everyone belongs and works together.
  • A sense of purpose – Trying our best and be proud of what we do.
  • A sense of belonging – All students are important and their voice matters

We want our students to:

  • Work towards a common goal - Try their best and aim high together.
  • Experience being part of a team - Help each other and celebrate success.
  • Develop social skills and build character - Be kind, respectful, and grow every day.

House Captains

At Isebrook, House Captains play an important leadership role in supporting their peers and helping to build a positive, inclusive community. As representatives of their house, they lead by example, encourage teamwork, and celebrate the achievements of others.

House Captains have a variety of responsibilities, which may include:

  • Welcoming and supporting new students.
  • Encouraging participation in house activities, competitions, and events.
  • Promoting friendship, respect, and teamwork across the school.
  • Working closely with staff to share student ideas and feedback.
  • Acting as role models by showing kindness, responsibility, and respect.

The role provides students with opportunities to develop confidence, leadership, and communication skills in a supportive environment. Above all, our House Captains help to make sure that every student feels proud to belong to their house and to our school community.
