Isebrook welcomes the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire
Over 80 Isebrook students recently took part in a highly engaging and thought-provoking Multi-Agency Day, organised by the Neighbourhood Police Team. The event brought together several key agencies to deliver an interactive programme exploring important issues affecting young people today.
Throughout the day, students explored topics including anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol awareness, knife crime, violence against women and girls (VAWG), and information about custody and prison.
The agencies involved in delivering the sessions included the Northamptonshire Policing Team, a retired magistrate, the Youth Offending Team, the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner’s (OPFCC) Youth Service, and NGAGE – the Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Service.
We were also honoured to welcome the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Mr Jeremy Sharman, who attended the day and spoke during the opening assembly about his role and responsibilities within the county.
The day began with a whole-school assembly, introducing students to a powerful narrative following the journey of two young people. Through this story, students explored the consequences of choices and decisions made when faced with challenging situations. They were encouraged to consider possible outcomes and reflect on how different decisions could lead to different futures.
Sessions throughout the day were interactive and engaging, using role play, discussion, and real-life examples delivered by experienced and passionate professionals. Students asked thoughtful questions and demonstrated increasing confidence as the sessions progressed.
The Multi-Agency Day was a powerful example of partnership working, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals, ask questions, and reflect on real-life consequences in a safe and supportive environment.
The school would like to extend its sincere thanks to all agencies involved for their time, expertise, and commitment to supporting young people in making informed and positive choices.
